We live in the heart of Yellowstone country, four hours from Yellowstone Park and four hours from Glacier Park. Lewis and Clark passed very close to our farm. Our area is much like what I understand the mountains of Peru to be like. So our animals feel very much at home. We are in a high desert area that gets about 11 inches of rain a year. Our home s located at about 4300 feet elevation.We love living here and I tell people we get up to a picture postcard every morning because the views are so wonderful. We can see about 30 to 40 miles in every direction from our home. This is a great place to raise a family and alpacas. Helena is 8 miles away and is rated the 8th best place to live in the US for its size, standard of living, and family atmosphere. I believe that we could not have picked a better place to live in that country lifestyle, that laid-back feel and being a part of the land.
